Delete your account
Last updated: 2026-09-29
This page is for closing a Tourlet account — the address, or Google link, you signed in with, and everything sync and sharing put on our server because of it. It is reachable without installing anything, because Google Play requires that and because somebody who has already uninstalled the app should still be able to ask.
Most of Tourlet needs no account at all. If you have never signed in, there is nothing here to delete: a trip is the app’s own data on your device, and this service has never seen it.
The fastest way: in the app
Settings → Account → Delete account.
It asks once to confirm, and then it is done. The app is signed in already, so nothing has to be proved a second time.
Without the app
Write to apps@gpm.name from an address on the account — the one you sign in with, or an address it is linked to — and say you want the account deleted.
The address is the check. Deletion is irreversible and takes your trips with it, so a request that cannot be tied to an address on the account will get a reply asking you to send it from that address rather than being carried out. If you no longer have access to it, say so and we will work out what else can prove it.
Closing it yourself in the app is immediate. By mail, expect it done within 30 days, and normally within a few days.
What is deleted
- The account itself — its sign-in, meaning the address (or addresses) you sign in with, and the Google account it is linked to, if any — with its profile picture and, in the Play build, the push-notification token of each of its devices.
- Every trip it owns, with everything in it — places, legs, day items, notes, attachments (receipts, tickets), the cover photo, the lists of places, the public read-only link, if one was turned on (it stops working), and any recorded route points for it — including for anyone you shared it with. A shared trip belongs to the account that made it: closing that account takes the trip away from everyone it was shared with too, the same as deleting it outright would.
- Its membership in trips other people own, and any position-tracking points it posted on one of them. You leave the trip; the trip itself, everyone else’s access to it, and anything else recorded on it, is untouched.
- Invitations — ones you sent from it, and ones sent to any address on the account, whether or not they were accepted.
- Connected apps — AI assistants you connected to the account — and their keys.
- Purchase tokens stored with the account.
Afterwards we also ask apps-management, the licence service every app in this family shares, to close what it holds for the same address — best-effort, logged, and never the reason closing your account here fails.
The person running the service can also delete an account from the operator’s page (see the Privacy Policy); it removes exactly the same things.
What is kept
Nothing tied to you. There is no payment record and no trace of the account left on our side once this is done. The operator’s request statistics are counts per route, not per person, and are dropped after 90 days. The one exception is the nightly server backup, which the Privacy Policy says keeps attachment files for up to 14 more days after they are deleted.
What is not ours to delete
Your trips on your phone. Closing the account removes them from our server, not from the device — they are the app’s own data, untouched by this, and you can keep them, export them, or delete them yourself, signed out or in.
A Google Play subscription. Closing the account here does not cancel Tourlet Pro if you bought it through Google Play — that is Google’s billing, and it is cancelled separately, in Google Play.
Everything else about what this service holds is in the Privacy Policy.
